Albarah Al Afandi, MPharm

Albarah is a registered Pharmacist and Trainee Qualified Person. After graduating from the University of Bradford’s School of Pharmacy in 2013, Albarah pursued and obtained his doctorate in pharmaceutical and formulation sciences from the University of Strathclyde. Since joining Fortrea in 2020, Albarah has overseen the delivery of sterile and non-sterile IMP to early and late-phase studies conducted within the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) and at external sites. Albarah’s primary responsibilities include operational aspects of the GMP pharmacy facility at the Drapers Yard CRU in Leeds, implementing the quality management system, and he is the pharmacy lead for study setup and CMC activities.
