We’ll review the evolution of Model-informed drug development (MIDD) and highlight its most advanced applications today. We’ll then introduce model‑integrated evidence (MIE)—a next step in which validated models generate regulatory‑grade evidence that can supplement or even replace clinical data. MIE offers solutions to major industry challenges, including large and inefficient trials, limited data for under‑served populations, and barriers in rare disease development.
