Chris Twelves is a professor of Clinical Cancer Pharmacology and Oncology, University of Leeds & Hon. Consultant Medical Oncologist and Director of the NIHR Leeds Clinical Research Facility, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He has been a consultant treating people with cancer for over 30 years with a particular interest in new drug development and clinical pharmacology. Chris has been involved in the development of several important new cancer drugs used routinely in the clinic and has published around 300 papers as well as speaking at innumerable national/international meetings.
Jim Bush serves as Vice President for Fortrea’s Clinical Pharmacology Services which oversees the conduct of Phase I clinical trials involving the study of investigational drugs in healthy volunteers and patients. In his role, Jim provides global leadership to the Clinical Pharmacology Physicians working in four Fortrea Clinical Research Units, in the UK and the US, and has worked as Principal Investigator on more than 100 Phase I studies. His primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of the participants taking part in Phase I clinical trials.
